The cooking class is divided into Chinese cooking area and West Point baking area. There are dozens of cauldrons, stoves and smoking areas in the Chinese cooking area. Our course format consists of two classes, which are explained by the teacher first, and then the students are grouped. After the operation, the students have lunch and share the food. Another feature of this class is that every time we cook, we invite parents to the classroom as volunteers to help the cooking class go smoothly. When entering the classroom, parents can not only learn about their children's school life, but also join the children to join the campus lunch and share the children's labor results. Moreover, parent volunteers can help teachers manage the cooking class, making the whole operation process safer and more orderly! Parent volunteers are very enthusiastic, and sometimes parents even bring cameras, not only recording the entire operation process of the children, but also the children. They conducted an interview and asked them to talk about the methods and feelings they learned in one lesson!
Since the beginning of the semester, the children have done egg noodles, puffs, pizza and other West Point, and also made Chinese food such as Wenzhou fish balls, curry potatoes, boiled dumplings. In the cooking class, the children not only learned simple cooking skills, but more importantly, they learned to cooperate and learn to be grateful.
